VARIETY: Cranberry Beans
Cranberry beans are national dried beans, cultivated in Leon (Spain). They are used in typical dishes of northern Spain. The grain is pinkish with many maroon spots which disappear when cooked. This variety has a big round grain.
Cranberry bean also has a very smooth skin and stands over other varieties because of its high iron content.
This bean provides a dark soup with intense flavor.
