ORIGIN: SPAIN
Verdina Bean, also called Green Faba Bean or Green Bean, is not as well known as other kind of legumes but is considered Gourmet Bean because of its fantastic taste when cooked and for its fine and smooth skin that never breaks. The grain is flat, medium-sized and thin skin.
The lack of production of this green bean and the effort needed in the elaboration explains its high price. Verdina bean is certainly the most expensive bean of all of them but the most appreciated by the expert chefs.
This variety is regarded as the best complement in seafood dishes because of its buttery texture and softness.
We should soak the beans for at least 12 hours to achieve an optimal cooking.
